Rewards Scheme

I would like to set up a reward scheme system on a project i am doin, i should log the numer of times a member has been to an event and after, say, 5 events attended they would be given points.

these points should then be logged and wen the member has a set number of points a message or something can appear on the screen to alert the user.

does anyone have any ideas?!?!?!

you can always derive the number of points from the field used to store the no of events.
select user, events/5 as 'reward points' from user_event_table;
