We are installing these help phones on our 51c. They supposedly require a 200ms hook flash. I configured that in ld 10 FTR ISP 20... anyway, the other way these phones know to hang up is that they want the line to revert to dial tone.

Any ideas on how to do that? My 51c will sit there and give you dead air if you sit on the line after the called party hangs up.

Basically the help phones are ( these speakerphones with a big red push for help button. They don't have a hangup button so they have to get some kind of disconnect signal. even reorder.

Hello,
I will try to help. So it's an intercom that will dial itself or are you using the hotline feature on the 500 port you are connecting to that unit?

Hello :) thanks for the quick reply. It is actually an intercom that will dial itself. We had it as a hotline, but the device seems to work better when it is dialing out on its own.

Is it dialing an internal DN or an external number 9,5141234567 ??????
I remember installing on of these on a Trunk port instead of a 500 port. Do you have a free TN on a XUT card ?

there are 10 phones, I know I don't have that many free on my trunk card... I'm thinking that the analog message waiting line cards cannot provide hook flash... It's in the feature set, but taking a meter to the line i don't see the hook flash happening.

Use XFA and XRA in class of service. Maybe that is all what u are missing...
use FTR PHD also

Hi slashhaxOr,

By adding LDTA to the CLS you will get dialtone when the station or trunk hangs up on calls to analogue stations. I always put this in the CLS on analogue stations.

Don't know why NT never provided open loop disconnect from day-one on analogue lines! I guess this was a Canadian thing, like the letter Q!

hope this helps!

is the LDTA NOT working?

We had an IVR that required LDTA and the FTR ISP 75 to give a quick dialtone to disconnect the port.

Looks like you are on the right track.

Awesome guys. I'm totally on the right track. These phones should disconnect with LDTA enabled.

They have faulty firmware! hah.

So it's not the M1's fault,

Thanks for the help! i couldn't have found the feature without you.:)
