I recently formated my maxtor 40gb hard drive and i lost all my data on my newer drive, is there any program out there that i can use to retrieve the formated data back from my 40 gb

Howdy:

There are a multititude of programs out there that claim to be able to retrieve lost or formatted data..

Or, there are companies that, for a price, will attempt to recover this info with NO guarantee..

Don't hold your breath though !!!

one of our customers where i work just spent in exess of $2,000 to have their data recovered. so it better be REALLY important stuff if you decide to go that route. :)

yea i have no intention to get it recovered by a company, what programs called that could potentially retrieve the data SeSaskDFC?

Just do a search on google.ca or dogpile.com for Data Recovery.. You will get a multitude of hits..

Tough way to learn the advantages of BACKING UP !!!!
