Good evening,

We have a new client with an FVS318 on-site, configured with a client-to-site VPN tunnel for a remote salesperson and a site-to-site VPN tunnel for the owner's home office. Whether they were not given the login credentials for the admin interface or they have been lost with time, we were able to find a saved copy of the binary configuration file on the server.

Running 'strings' on it using one of our Linux boxes shows decipherable text, but clearly garbled - is there a way to ungarble the text to extract the login credentials?

Thank you in advance,

That is a really tall order. You would assuredly save tons of time blowing away the config and re-setting up the site to site / client vpn profiles.

This is assuming you have access to the firewall / IP information for the remote site.

I have used these routers and better off resetting and reconfig.
