Reuse Arcserve tapes

All,

I am trying to re-use old Arcserve DLT tapes with Netbackup 4.5, MP2. I have them in a Powervault 136T with 3xSDLT320 drives.

I keep getting error 84's whe I try to write to them. Is there a way to overwrite them so I can re-use them.

Is there an issue with the drive - vs - the DLT IV tapes that I have????

Try the bplabel command. I us it to overwrite catalog media.

In the PV136T it should automatically reuse the media and label it according to the label you put on the tape, providing you have specified that under the media tab of the media server, you have specified to overwrite all media types.
