Hi,

I'm considering brushing up on my Clipper knowledge - I've not used it for about 3 years.

Can anyone recommend any good books / websites?

Thanks in advance,

Graeme

Hi Graeme,

The last 3 years no new clipper books have been written / published.

Look at the link-page on for official links.

Here are some of the links I used to use...

Probably this forum will be the best place to get info on clipper problems.

Good luck and enjoy clipper,
Rob.

Was also going to advice Rick Spence's book and so I am adding more information that may be useful in searching.

(1)
The series was part of "Data Based Advisor" by Lance Leventhal.
(2)
I believe that the he book is still availabale (in hard copy) in countries like India (where I come from) and so if you have any friends going to / coming from India .. You know ..

Thanks guys,

And don't forget to have a look at the new 'Clippers' like (x)Harbour & XBase++

- (Open source 32 bit Clipper compiler)
- (Commercial support to the above)
- (Slower developing predecessor of xHarbour.org)
- (Commercial closed source 32 bit Clipper dialect)

All support full OO, and xHarbour has many C-like enhancements.

Does anyone have a direct link where you can download a copy of the xharbour compiler. I have been to the site and cant't find the download.
