I am trying to figure out how my client can call their main DID and access their voicemail

They dont have an auto attendant set up so it wont be accessible through a general #.

any ideas?

How about an incoming route that includes their cell phone number as the incoming CLI, and routes to either an auto attendant or directly to *17? (I would use an AA, so that if they want to call the office and talk to someone, they have the option to dial an extension number, or press a selector code that you set up to go to *17)

Or...pick another DID and point it to voicemail? Surely they have more than 1.

they can call a DID that hits a mailbox and dial *7 to login.

theres no other way where they can just call their own DID to listen to their greeting for access to the vm?

Wouldn't it be easier to have voicemails copied/forwared to their e-mail?
Unless the customer is stuck in the 80's, employees have smart phones and some sort of push mail, or they can check their inbox online?

Kind regards

Gunnar

Oh, for fox sake!

Too hard. Isdn features on PSTN. Like trying to faff around with AA, alternate DTMF options, and call recording on essential.
Cli routing possibly connected to a time profile so they can call out of hours for vm collect but still hit reception during working hours.
Time profiles work the opposite way you'd think. Test your mobile with a time profile that corresponds tothe time you're on site to give yourself a picture before you implement it for the user.

Seriously; if they have 1 DID, on a PRI, they MUST have more. Hell, around here you can't GET a PRI without someone throwing 50 numbers for DID's at you. Or just ask their provider to provide another number. It's cheap, sometimes free. Use that for voicemail access.

@ AACON I think OP meant DIR, otherwise they likely wouldn't be in this predicament.
