Has anyone been able to retrieve the following details from OpenView:

Maintenance Cycle (number of pages printed since last maintenance)
Toner level (amount of toner or warnings)

The printers concerned are HP Laserjet 5Si and 8000 with JetDirect 400N or alternative internal JetDirect cards. I need to be able schedule a retrieval of the data and store it in an appropriate place. As I have never yet used OpenView, I don't know if this is possible. Our company has the software so I should be able to get access to it and go from there.

Good afternoon,

As OpenView SNMP oriented, the only way to manage your printer via this product is to supply NNM with a MIB corresponding to the printer you would like to monitor.
There is an RFC on this subject you can find on :

The next question will be . Does HP supply MIB for theirs printers ? I don't know .
Another clue (but it excludes NNM), some of the HP printer provides an http interface for management. On this interface you can monitor and manage your printer (with e-mail notification on events [need ink, need papers, ..])

Hope that help
