Retrieve email from POP3 account into my database?

I have created a client support database and one of the features which I have yet to implement is the following. I would like to have the database check our support email account and retrieve any new emails then, ofcourse, put them into the relevant table (tbl002_supportrequest) and create a primary key for each new record. Any attachments within the email should be saved in the attachments table (tbl003_attachments). Has anybody done this before or does anybody have any ideas of how to do this? All the code I have come across is either for sending emails or is not automatic... Any replies appreciated!

I think you should read about CDO (or even CDONTS).
I vaguely remember that CDO object model allowed one to fully query an email account.
