Retrieve Deleted Email

Is it possible to retrieve a very old deleted email from the MDBDATA logs or other logs on the exchange server
(2003)?

Or is there any other way to retrieve deleted email besides the Recover Deleted email feature?

I can only think retrieval from backup is your only option with a very old e-mail.

Furtunally - when I first migrated this user to my domain, I saved a copy of her .pst from when she moved from a POP account to my exchange box.

If she can't find that email there I think she is out of luck.

Mail isn't deleted from logs. It's deleted from the database. If you need to get it back, and it's past the Deleted Item Retention Time (DIRT), then you need to restore to the recovery storage group and get it from there.
