Retreive from Exchange 2000 sp3 with Outlook 2002 over the net?

Hello everyone, does anybody know how to set up Outlook 2002 so that it will connect to my work account which is running Exchnage 2000 SP3.

I've tried setting up an IMAP account in outlook and the virtual server is running on Exchange but it just won't connect in? Going in OWA works fine. Can you not just add an IMAP account in Outlook 2002 and bypass the OWA?

Yes you can, but make sure the ports are open or forwarded if a router, proxy or firewall are present.

Thank Marc, yes all needed ports are open. It still doesn't work. However now I've got a different problme. When I set up the IMAP mail account in Outlook 2002 using the "Administrator" account and password it works fine. Try typing in a username and nothing. Just returns with wrong password prompt and tries again? Any suggestions?

That sounds like you have a permissions issue AuxJus.
Better go check (compare) all permissions for that user.
Check the Protocol permissions, firewall permissions, mailbox permissions ..
Also check the Event log for some entries about the failure, the exact reason could be there.
