Hi Everybody,

I am a dialup user and I am cheap!
That combination is my problem because I am trying to download the personal edition of Oracle 9i from OTN but with dialup connection that is practically impossible.

Does anyone know if the CD images are available from an FTP server from which I could resume the d/l once it got interrupted?

Many Thanks.
Roland

Do you use any download manager?

Regards, Dima

Dima,

I am using Gozilla but that doesn't help at all because Gozilla only picks up the Javascript file that actually controls the download.
Also, I couldn't find any mirror sites for this d/l.

My last attempt (today) almost got me the whole package but after 350 (71% out of ~500 MB) my ISP "decided" to disconnect me.

I am desperate ...

Thanks.
Roland

Sometimes they send CDs for free by mail (I have a good collection of 8-8i software shipped that way). But for 9i I can't find registration form now.
When JavaScript is in use, in most cases the real URL can still be find within the page definition. Otherwise you may use some tool like Naviscope to keep track of real URLs being called. I use Flashget and in most cases it manages to complete the task.

Regards, Dima

I got a copy of 9i on CDs (but not from Oracle's website).
The install is done and working - thank you!

Merry Christmas.
