I'm running NAV 2003 under WinXP Home with
SP2. Under a user account with admin privileges I have set
up a scheduled scan. I confirm that an entry for the
scheduled scan appears in Scheduled Tasks in the
Windows Control Panel. All user accounts have
passwords and I have no problem running manually
initiated scans.
If I stay logged in, the scan runs fine. But if I log
out and then log back in when the scan is finished I
find that the NAV process is running (Task Manager)
but there are no windows for the NAV program. I suspect that the scan has run and that the program is waiting
for the user to click the "Finished" button on the scan window but because the window is not up the program just
sits there waiting. The Reports function of NAV says the scan started but did not finish and it has no info on the results of the scan.
So my questions are:
1. Is NAV supposed to be able to run a scheduled
scan when the user who scheduled it is not logged in?
2. If answer to 1 is yes, then what is the user supposed to
see when he logs in after the scan has run? Should he
see the NAV scan screen with the results of the scan just
as he does when he runs a manual scan?
