Hi,

Looking for a solution to prevent users on NT Workstations from installing programs on their PC's. Any details would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Look at system profiles and disable access to everything! There are several programs on the market that lock down machines stopping you installing software - these are generally better than profiles.

Maybe creating system policies will restrict users from installing programs.

Take a look at what local groups your users are members of. If they belong to the local admin group, take them out. That will prevent them from instaling most programs jus by itself.

I'd suggest tying their hands together with Cat 5 cabling and beating them about the head with an old copy of Computing. Works for me....
