Hi,

I have a customer with 2 Meridian Opt 11. running 25.15. On both systems they can call mobiles and national numbers, but one cant transfer calls to mobiles and national calls. They want this implemented on the other, but i have no idea how thats set up.

My understanding was that when a call is put on hold and they dial the second call the same restrictions apply as a normal outgoing call so how can the transfer be stopped?

On the meridian that has this set up already, they can make the 2nd call, but when they press the transfer key to transfer the call it fails, whereas on the other one, the call gets transferred out of the meridian.

Any idea what setting is used to do this?

Thanks

EXTERNAL TRANSFER
You can change indv users in the set CLS.

(FTTC) Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Conditional allows
trunk to trunk connections for supervised Conference.

FTTR Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Restricted denies
trunk to trunk connections for Transfer and unsupervised
Conference.

FTTU Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections Unrestricted allows
trunk to trunk connections for both Conference and
Transfer.

Or.... System wide

EXTT (NO) YES (Prevent) Allow unconditional external Trunk to Trunk transfer.
Enter YES to indicate that a caller can transfer a call made to
one outgoing trunk to another outgoing trunk without restrictions
based on supervision. Trunk to trunk connection features such
as TGAR/TARG and Trunk Barring still apply as appropriate.
Enter NO to indicate that the transfer is allowed only if conditions
regarding supervision are met. This prompt only applies to
situations involving two calls originated by the same caller.

Thanks for that. Ive looked at both systems and they both have the following set
CDB
Net Data
TRNX-YES
EXTT-YES

A set from the system that can transfer has FTTC in the CLS and a set from the system that cant has FTTU.

So neither of these settings seem to be the one that is stopping the external transfer.

Any other suggestions of places to look?

Thanks

Have you checked BSGC under the NET in the CDB
If its set to zero in can sometimes restrict tranfers so set it to 1 for example.

bump. thanks for the advise so far, but none has worked. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

Check LD15 NET - FTOP

Try FTOP = FRES
or FTOP = FLTY with Set CLS FTTU

If TRNX=YES, EXTT=YES, DIDT=YES and CLS XFA, it should work.

Hi,
Both Meridians have the following in NET
DITI YES
TRNX YES
EXTT YES
FTOP FRES
and neither have XFA in the CLS as they are digital exts, my understanding is that is a 500 set CLS.

This will prevent transfer call transfer and conference connection.
