I have a route data block set up to dial and make an announcement on speakers to another building. How can this be changed to only allow certain phones to be able and access this code when the code is dialed?
we use tgar/targ to block that.. all phones go in tgar 1 by default.. the only route with targ 1 is the overhead.. so if i give a station targ 6 it can use that prompt..
my page route has targ 0 1 2 3 4 5...
I know this is odd but we use tgar for differentlocations and 911 use. I could set up in the tar only for that specific building. But what if I want another building to page those people?
if you can change the tgar of those stations.. if not.. i would use tenant service.. make that building tennant 1.. then only alow tenant to trunk group access to that single trunk..
you can give tennant 1 access to all the routes they have now plus the overhead... nothing else will change... still allow ten to ten... etc.. might want to look up that feature in the software feature guide, but it's a great problem solver that is often overlooked
you may not have the packages.. i'm not used to that, we had all of outs turned on..i don't like programming with my hands tied.. other then tennanat your going to have to use either tgar via acod or build a lsc and use ncos..
i build ncos with blanks for that reason.. 1 local 3 ld with auth, 4 for the same but 411 allowed and 7 for 6 int with auth, 7 for int without auth.. so i could add HERE, an ncos 5 and use a lsc... if we could knew more about your tgar.targ we might see a solution.. the last resort is to send it through mail and requre a password after the dn
Thanks. I've made a change to the TAR on the RDB for that site. My calls are now blocked from the other site.
I work on an 81c and it's been here a long time. So NCOS is not used, they are using universal trunck cards for 911 at remote sites.
Just a technician but I'm seeing a lot. Thanks for your help John Poole you have helped me alot.
