Hi,
I have inherited a Merlin Legend V7 at a hotel.

Currently someone has managed to put the operators phone into a restricted class of service. It is unable to grab an outside line. The lines appearances are simple 1-touch buttons on the phone.

This is the second time this has happened. The first time someone managed to put a room phone in restricted mode.

How is it possible to lock, and more importantly un-lock, a handset from the keypad.

Thanks.

There are many different ways to restrict outbound dialing on a legend. at what point does the system refuse to make the call? Can you press the outside line buttons and grab a dialtone? If so, how many digits can you dial prior to being cut-off?

If it is in hotel mode ,then it is done with the DSS console
down load the manual from Avaya .com and read it .

Thanks,

@telecomboy
I can pick up the handset and get dialtone from a line appearance button. However pressing and keypad number results in a 'siren' tone.

@cvrbob
how do I tell if it is in hotel mode? Which manual do you recommend I download?

Check to see if the extension has been assigned an account code. If so, remove it.

@brannan
Thanks, How do I check that?

Also in this case I think someone is putting the extension in restricted service by accident. It's the large screen MLX set that is being used for the operators extension at the front desk.

That's why I am looking for a simple key press code that could do this.

Thanks again.
