Can we restrict the use of Shadow copies for just a group of users?

No, shadow copy is configured on a Volume and has nothing to do with the users. To the server it is all just data.

you can however, prevent a user from using volume shadow copy by not installing the previous client software on the user's workstation..

I have got shadows copies working fine, but I would like to restrict the use of shadow copiesin share areas so only administrators and a special group of people can perform restorations.
