HI, I have an Ip Office 500v2, my extensions numbers are in 3000-3050 and i have 10 agents with extensions 4001-4010, how can i do to restrict the users in range 3XXX dont dial to users with extensions 4XXX. Could You help me please.

Create a user rights form and have it restricted fron dial any 4xxx. Apply it to all people you need to

I try with the shortcode 4xxx but the system says:
This conflict whit 4011 Barred , The local extension will override the shortcode

The system is correct
Extn numbers take priority over short codes
tlpeter is correct this is realy an issue for the customers internal processes to address

The best you can do is not tel the agents their extn number & set them to ex directory so the other useres cant find them.

Most other hacks to do this result in an unreliable system.

Are you using the SC in the user rights form? Make sure there are no other User or system SC to barr the 4xxx calls

I have seen this shortcode work but only on 4.2
I am sure it does not work on 6.0

If call barr doesn't work you could use busy I suppose

Users always go above shortcodes.
Like I said, I have seen it working but then it is a bug.

I have it set up right now in my lab ip500 6.0.18 and it seems to work

Dial Extn
5000

Instead of getting a barred tone I was sending it to another extn..

But, couldn't that work with a phantom extn that is fwd to nowhere?? You should ge a busy tone right?

can you still get group calls for those extensions if they are in a group or are they then going to the other target?
I could try it on my home SOE but that is 4.2 and will not be accurate.
