Is there any way to secure a PDF received in an email from being able to be saved or emailed by the receipient?

Adobe offers a product called Policy Server which restricts offers persistent security.

There is no way to prevent them from forwarding it once they have it, but you can stop them from opening it.

It can also have an expiration date attached to the file which will cause the document to not open after the timeout specified.

There is an online version of Policy server available for free until the end of the year. Be careful, if you do not maintain a subscription after that time, you will not have access to your own files that are protected.
