Restrict Mail Group Access

As per our management requirement, I was required to create a new mail group to a list of users.

In addition, I was requested this particular mail group can only be used by the list of users ONLY. As such, users not on the list cannot use this mail group when they edit a mail document.

Question : How do I restrict a Mail Group to a specific list of users? It is not a database and there is no ACL I can find!

Not sure if it is possible for this to be accomplished, however, you can "hide" the group from non-members. If they can't see it, they can't use it type of scenario. If they know what the group name is, they would be able to type it in, but most people have trouble remembering passwords, let alone an e-mail group.

To do this:
Create the group
Right click on the group
Click on Document Properties
Click on the Security tab (the "key")
Uncheck the "All Readers and Above" box
Add the people in the group to the readers list
You should also allow the Server, OtherDomainServers, LocalDomainServers, and Administrators to see it, as well

As long as someone does not belong to the group or server and administrator groups, they will not be able to see the group in their address book.

Yes, I really want to stop non-group members from using it.

Other users learnt the existence of the group and it is as easy as type a few letters and hit enter, the group name will come up straight away.

Ultimately, I'm still working on a solution (if there is one!) to restrict users from using this mail group.
