Hi hope someone can help me here!

I want to stop people dialling out on 2 numbers. These are both local UK numbers.

Looking at Avaya docs you can list the number in ARS and set route-pattern to "deny". I have tried this but i can still call out to the number.

CAn someone give me some pointers please?

Be sure you're putting in the phone numbers as they would be dialed in the system. (minus an ARS code like "9") If you need to dial the country code, then it should be inserted in the ARS pattern you're dialing.

You can test ARS table entries by using the "route-chosen" option.

list ars route-chosen 44123456789

You should see that the route it chooses is "deny".

ARS tables are bypassed by the ability to use TACs. If someone is dialing trunk access codes, they can still dial numbers restricted in an ARS table.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Thanks dufus

So what do I put in for call-type?

Whatever call type it is. If its a local number hnpa, if it's an international call, intl.

Carpe dialem! (Seize the line!)

Still not working.

9078xxxxxxxx 12 12 deny hnpa _ n

This is the line in the ARS Analysis digit analysis table.

But the call still comes through?

Any ideas why?

Are these inbound or outbound calls? If they are outbound the ARS entry should not include the ARS access code (9?).
