Greeting all,

I would like to restrict certain users to access any properties , eg, control panel , video properties, change any view options, ..etc .. its for a public access user , so you could imagine,
Are these options duable from the local machine, or from the server ? they are part of a domain .. any help or reseources will be greatly appreciated,

thanks,

Don't join the machine to the Domain. Set the computer as part of a Worgroup, with the same Workgroup name as the Domain Name.

Then specify an automaticly logged on user (obviously not the local machine administrator).

You could configure the settings by hand, but there are two terrrific tools to help you do this:

. Doug Knox's Worgroup Settings Tool (free for limited use)
thread779-685048 TweakUi from Microsoft (free)

Thanks Everyone
Nothing seemed to work so I did the honorable thing ......
I formatted my cpu and started over with a clean slate.
Thanks for everyone's help !!
Cheers
Vern
