I try to restore the root (/) File system on another disk( from IDE to SCSI disk):
#mount /dev/dsk/c1t1d0s2 /mnt
# cd /mnt
#ufrestore rvf /dev/rmt/0n
#umount /mnt
All OK
After that - how to boot from my new slice ( /dev/dsk/c1t1d0s2 instead /dev/dsk/c0d0s7)?
How to modify /etc/vfstab?
I try:
#installboot /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/pboot /usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/dsk/c1t1d0s2
but it did not help.
How to solve this problem?

Hi

from above message i understand you are trying to boot from scsi. check the scsi id. It should be least for booting.
Hope this helps you.

So long as there is a bootblock on the new disk you should be able to define the boot device at the OBP (OK prompt)
Sorry I can't remember the commands so try at the OK prompt

OK>help (or ? I don't remember atm)

and look for the boot menu for how to change this.

Hope this helps. Ian

"IF" is not a word it's a way of life
