Hi guys,

Having a few issues restoring Incremental backup jobs

Do we have to select the Full backup job also or just the incremental job?

We are trying to restore a VMware guest.

Full restores work fine but our incremental do not...

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Sten

Your restore process is determined by what data already exists on the VMGuest.

To restore a blank guest (booted OS and running the Backup Agent software), follow this procedure:

- restore the most recent full backup
- after that, restore the incremental backups one at a time
- start with the oldest incremental
- then restore each incremental you did after that
- restore the newest backup last

If you don't like having to do all those incremental restore jobs, then you might want to look into using 'differential' type instead.

Cheers
