I am trying to perform a restore from a client which was de-commissioned and is no longer on the network. I am unable to restore any data from it no matter which destination I specify.

The only type of error message I can find is 'host unreachable'.

Would I be able to get this data back?

You should be able to restore it, even if it is missing...

As a workaround you could try to declare a new host on your network as Netbackup client (in a policie), and then to put the old client name as an alias of this machine (must be able to resolve). Then try again.

OK, another question. Is it possible to restore from one client to another if they are on different masters?
