restoring a database problem

I have the following problem....

i cannot restore a backup of a database on a new server from a backup. i get the following message :

The backup set holds a backup of a database other than the existing 'blackcar' database . Backup or restore operation terminating abormally.
------------------------------------------------

History:

I made a backup of the old one i want to place on another PC. when i restore it i get the message above. i tried both creating the database then restoring and restoring it without it created. Neither worked


Server running:
---------------
win 2000 pro (not a server a desktop workstation)
MS SQL Server Enterprise ver. 7.0
128 MB ram
500 mhz machine
different machine
newly installed MS SQL Server Enterprise ver. 7.0
different machine name
different logon

u can check for the blackcar.mdf and .ldf files in the data folder..if it exists then delete it and then try.
