As newbe I am a little confused, I need to setup a standalone server SQK2K and restore the data base from server a to b.

I read someware that the master data base hold info about all the loaded databses and needs to be transfered with the database as a group. When I did this the access to the data failed.

System a has a different disk setup then system b. System b is a 2k pro with only a c disk partition, system a has c,d,e,f with the logs, data, os and apps on different partitions.

The system b is trying to access the e disk for the data.
Is this controled by the master data base? and do I really need to restore both databases (master and live).

Should I partition the standalone server just like the live server?
Thanks in advance
Ted
