Hi,

A CCC machine crashed and just before that happened I was able to make a backup of the SDXArchiver database through the Database Manager that's included in CCC.

After reinstalling CCC on a new machine I imported the database using the same tool. Now when I try to get a report I get an error saying "Can't login to database......" when I for example try to get the list of DID numbers for a report.
Seems like I don't have to correct login for the database.

Since I don't know the login information from the previous install I wonder if that information is stored in that database or if there's something else I've missed.

Gonna dig down into this problem tomorrow and need to find a solution, just thought I ask you guys before doing this.

check your sa login. By default it is NMYSBH. Has it been changed from default? It doesn't matter. You can use osgl to change the password if necessary.

SA account password
Another simple step to make your database more secure is to verify that the SA account has a secure password. Many developers and system administrators leave the SA account password blank, which permits anyone to gain access to the database.

To change the SA account password on your MSDE database, follow these steps:1. On the computer that is hosting the instance of MSDE that you are connecting to, open a command prompt window.
2. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

osql -U sa

This command connects you to the local, default instance of MSDE by using the SA account.
3. Type the following commands on separate lines, and then press ENTER:

sp_password null
'mynewpassword'
'sa'

Note Replace 'mynewpassword' with the new password.

Note that you receive the following message, which indicates that your password was changed successfully:
Password changed.
