I have a backup of a client that was backed up with Veritas software.
There server has crashed and I now need to recove the data off the DAT tapes.
I use Arcserve 2000, is ther any way to recover the data off the disks?

Use windows backup option... This has worked for me..

ARCserve is able to restore from tapes generated by Backup Exec and Microsoft Windows NT/2000 Backup. This compatibility allows user to migrate from Backup Exec and Windows NT/2000 Backup to ARCserve
If you have mulitple drives then using TAPECOPY.EXE, MTF tapes can be converted to Cheyenne Tape Format (FASTSEEK)
You wont be able to merge MTF tape into the ARCserve database however you can do session/media restores to bring your data back.
