We are currently using IBM ultrium gen1 LTO drives backing up with NB 4.5fp3. The offsite DR company only has HP ultrium gen LTO drives at the hotsite. Has anyone run into any issues regarding the ability to read/restore tapes in cases like this. TIA for your responses!!

Manufacturers are not an issue. Where there might be problems is with LTO Gen2 tapes going to an LTO Gen1 drive - Will not work. Gen1 tapes being read ona Gen2 drive - Should work just fine but ... The final say is in the manufacturer in their compatibility.
