Can anyone help me in getting my catalogs back. When I click on the "Restore Selection" button on either media server on Backup Exec/Network Storage Exec I cannot see any of my 10 media servers listed.

Isnt there a merge that you can run to pick up the information?

in the device tab, you must :
- make an inventory of your media
- and select "catalog"
then your media will be listed

:)

If you have verion 8.6, stop all of the services and delete all files in your CATALOGS folder that don't have the .U01 extension. these are the catalog files. Then start your services up again. It will take a while depending on the number of catalog files you have, due the fact that backup Exec is rebuilding your index file (BETOPCAT.IDX). Once the index is rebuilt, you should see everything, provided you don't have corrupted catalog files. Hope this helps, it has happened many times here.
