Help the users are going mad

After server crash I attempted to restore exchange I am unable to start any mail services. The set-up is NT4, exchange 5.5 restoring from Veritas Backup Exec with exchange agent

When I open the mail I receive DS_E_Communications_problem error message and when I attempt to start MS exchange directory I error 1067 the process terminated unexpectedly.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciated it or if there’s something I should know when restoring from Veritas. I’ve run restores for NT backup with little problems so I though Veritas restore would be easy, I was wrong!

I used it to restore the exchange server on the test enviroment and it is working fine. I hope it will help

Check out the following M$ Article and see if it describes some of the problems you are encountering. I have restored from Veritas regularly, without a problem.

You will have to copy the entire line into your address line.

Did you rebuild the server?
If so, did you use the same name and Organization and Site.

Chaupa server was rebuilt with same config
