Hi all,

Is it possible to restore data that Phonemaster collates back to the PBX?

We have a power outage over the weekend and would like a backup, however, we use phonemaster, so if I sync the databaes today, is that data enough and in the correct format as such to be able to sync phonemaster back to the PBX?

Cheers,
Chris

you need to mark all the sets as new and then do the sync, don't use phonemaster but i had a customer that did. not sure where to mark the cdb routes etc, but we did a restore on the set, very clean. i do know it's much slower then then a parallel reload

I use Phonemaster - I think the only way to do this is phone by phone - which would be pretty cumbersome.

Suggest you ask them directly - mailto:support@phoneware.ie

Guys, I was just browsing here and came accross this posting. I know it's too late in this case, but no harm in putting it on record for the future.

As John has already indicated you can restore all or an individual set to the PBX with PhoneMaster by following these steps:

1. Select Utilities from the Telephones Menu.
2. Find the sets you want to restore.
3. Click the Change Status to New button.
4. Click the Save button to upload to the PBX.

You can also restore the CPND and mailboxes in a similar manner.

A lot of PhoneMaster users don't really appreciate the value of the product as a distaster recovery tool. While it only restores the telephone sets, this represents the bulk of the reprogramming.

the only problem with that is, restore the cdb, with the same attributes, then run the restore.. and yes it is a great tool. if you could run it on more then one switch i would have bought a copy back when i was doing installs..
