Hi all,

we have a system on version 9.0 and the power supply got damaged.

we decided to purchase a new case with same modules and all but it came in release 9.1. we have a backup of that system on old release. can you add the essential edition for 9.1 and restore data on this system, being the backup on release 9.0?

Yes, there are no special precautions to take.
Just install 9.1 software, change it to "IP Office mode" upload the old 9.0 config and add the new licenses.
After a reboot check the config to setup the new features correctly and job is done.

Addendum:
First chack hardware compatibility : no legacy card support and old IP400 hardware is not supported (which does not mean it wont work, but don't call Avaya if it doesn't)

why not simply downgrade the replacement unit to the required firmware version?

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
