I was trying to boot something from another disk, and unfortunatelly i lost a 60G partition with very important information, it was an NTFS partition for windows XP and i used to have it as an E: drive, now windows xp recognize it as Unallocated Space but i'm sure my information is still there.
Is there any way to re-create this partition and restore the information in there ?
thank you very much

I had ths problem with a slightly smaller HDD but I cured it by doing this. Go to 'Control Panel', select 'Administrative Tools' and from there select 'Computer Management'. A box opens and on the left select 'Storage' and then 'Disk Management'. From here you should be able to see your lost partition in the box on the right. Right click and I think an option is 'Add Logical Drive' or something like that - I can't remember exactly. However, you shoulkd be able to sort it out from there anyway.

Good Luck
