I do a backup every night of important jobs. they are all stored on 4mm Dat tape, only difference is the date and size of the job. But what I need to do is to restore the backup I have just made to another PC on the Domain. Is there a way to do a Scheduled backup and then do a sheduled restore of that backup to another PC say a couple of hours later. ALL automatically.

Cheers Hattersman.

Why not do the backup as normal and use the NT scheduler to do an xcopy of the server? Much faster than pulling from tape and more of a no brainer!

Assume it is for disaster recovery.

How do I use scheduler to do a backup from server to worksation.

Cheers

use the at scheduler to run either xcopy or a batch file - go to the NT server forum and post a question there or go to a command prompt on NT and type at /?
