We have a corrupt server and the DB2 7.2 database will not come up. The datafiles (SMS) are intact. Is there a way to import the data into a newly created Database?

Running on a Win 4.0 server.

As long as the directory in which the the database was cataloged is intact, you can use "
"DB2 CATALOG DATABASE xxxxxx ON PATH yyyyyyyyy"
Where yyyyyyyy is the path to the database directory.

After you've installed the software and recreated the instance if necessary.

This works fine in AIX, I'm not sure of the directory structure in windows.
