Hello,
I'm running Symantec Backup Exec 10d for Windows Servers.
I have 2 servers that once or twice a month have their backups fail. I need to go on to these servers and restart the 'Background Exec Remote Agent' service, then they backup fine for a week or two.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks,
Amber

Do You have the lastest updates for 10d?

If you go to help, about, installed updates, run Veritas update.

Also when you update BE i think you then have to re-push the remote installation.

Also could you check windows event log for specif errors or do the service just fail?
