Using Crystal Reports XI r2 and Server, Oracle 10g r2 in an .net environment and having slow Crystal Report generation time that is about 20 seconds on average. Any suggestion on where or what to look at to resolve?

Hi,

It can be many things:

1. BO Server CPU/RAM (check in task manager for the pageserver.exe when viewing the report)

2. Poor design of the report I.e. too much work done on the server rather than on the DB

3. The query takes too long to come back (then it's the DB Server cpu)

4. Network speed (I've seen that when a small branch is connecting over a slow WAN to the corporate DB in a different office)

Let me know!
