Hi

In my version of MSP 2000 it seems as though the resource units are being changed as I enter actual work. The units seem to end up being set to the maximum work entered as a % for any day. Once it gets this value in units it doesn't seem possible to remove it.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Describe exactly how you are entering your actuals.

I'm updating actuals by going to the resource usage screen and directly updating actual hors worked for the day on the resource/task allocation line.

Hmmm

The only thing that immediately comes to mind is ... Project is working as designed.

Assume a fixed duration two-day task with 16 hours of work and one resource assigned. If you record 4 hours of actual work on day 1 then the resource will have to work at 150% on the second day to complete the task within the fixed duration.

Since that answer is so blindingly obvious, you must have a more subtle issue. Perhaps this time you will reply (as I requested) describing *exactly* what happens. For the sake of clarity: "exactly" means tell me what values you are entering; what they are before the entries are made; what entries you do make; what entries they are afterwards and what you expected to see.
