Our existing resources stopped responding to meeting requests a couple of days ago. To investigate, I switch profiles to the resource and then click Tools, Options, Calendar Options. When I click the Resource Scheduling button to open the Resource Scheduling dialog box I get the following error: "The operation failed." The dialog box never opens. I can only assume this is related to the resource reservation problem, but I cannot be certain until I pass this first hurdle. Does anyone know how to resolve the "The operation failed." error?

Server: Exchange server 2003
Client: Windows XP running MS Office Professional 2003

Did this happen to a singl resource mailbox, or more than one?

Have you tried creating a new MAPI profile?

Thanks for your response Zbnet.

This seems to be a Free/Busy issue because we cannot see each other's schedules either.

How does one create a new MAPI profile? Is that just a profile for a mailbox?

Yes, a MAPI profile is the mail profile Outlook is using to connect to the mailbox.

You can clean the free/busy for a particular mailbox by running the outlook exe from the command line, and specifiying /cleanfreebusy as a parameter.
