On a citrix server sometimes this message appears on startup:
"The resource file is not valid. Overwrite it with an empty one?"
The prolem is still there after removing all occurences of foxuser.dbf and as far as I can tell every client uses the same runtimes. Any ideas?

If you are not specifically using foxuser.dbf, delete it and put SET RESOURCE OFF in your main prg.

Hi

It is probably, you are using different versions of FoxPro applications run by different people.

For example FoxPro 2.6 or such older version application and also, VFP applications. OR some user is running FoxPro 2.6 or such older version using the same terminal server.

In these cases, VFP finds the FoxUser.dbf created by FPD 2.6 as old version and invalid.

Unfortunately FoxPro named the default resource file same as FoxUser.dbf. However, FoxPro and VFP both provided ways to do away with these.

In your ConFig.FP file, you can create a setting to set RESOURCES to OFF or define your own Resource file name.

This will solve the issue hopefully for you.

:)
