RESOURCE, DISTRIBUTION LIST and NEW USER

Hi,

Can anyone tell me exactly what the differences between a New Group Distribution List, a New User and a Resource. I mean I know that a Resource is created for say a room to be booked out or an item to be hired out such as projector etc. What about New user and Resouce? What are the requirements to create each of this email group on groupwise?
I really need some suggestions since I am so confused.

User = account, requires a license, assigned to an individual (usually)

Distribution Group (List) = a defined group of users. Soes not require an additional license. Definition can be done by system administrator to create a group available to all users (system address book), or can be defined by an individual user as a private address book entry (which CAN be shared with other users at the discretion of the individual who owns it in their personal address book). Once a group is defined, messages/invitations/tasks can be sent to the entire group by referencing the group name in the recipient list.

Resource = supplemental object that can be created by the system administrator, it is assigned an "owner" which has to be a user account. Once defined, it has it's own calendar and e-mail inbox. The owner grants priveleges to other uses as necessary/appropriate to read and/or create calendar entries for the resource. Does not require an additional license. Users may "own" many resources.

Users, system distribution groups, and resources are created by the system administrator using NWADMIN or Console1, depending on your version of GW.
