Maybe someone will have some insight into this...
I saved still frames from miniDV as photoshop files. When I open them directly by double clicking the icon from the hard drive, they look great (they are being opened by Quicktime Picture Viewer). However, when I open the same file in Photoshop, there is obvious "pixilation" (especially where tones change). I am using Photoshop 6. I've set the photoshop page up for RGB (the color settings are U.S. Prepress Defaults.)
The image looks soo much better (smoother) when viewed from the Picture Viewer. Any idea why? Any idea how to get it to look so good in Photoshop?
