Anyone,

I have two textareas on a form which the user completes then posts. The response page displays all data in a printable table with both text areas have fixed width, but I need to expand the height dependent on the amount of data without any scrollbars.

I'm using IE5+ only.

Help!

Cheers

Moley

do you have to display the text in textareas on your reposnse page? Couldnt you just display the text normally?

I cant change the current format so I have to use textareas.
Do you know if this is possible??

I don't see why this would be possible. I would suggest looking into these steps
1) after you get the content get the Len() of it
2) in your textarea column and rows attrib's use a mathmatical expression to compute the needed values from the Len() that was returned off the content.
3) then enter those returned values into the input field so they are outputted

eg:
<TEXTAREA COLS=&quot;<%=width%>&quot; ROWS=&quot;<%=height%>&quot;></TEXTAREA>
