Imagine an environment with two MXe's (Enterprise both)and one UCA Server (Forgive is this is no longer called UCA), 70 desktop users (5330e) and 70 Softphone Users (Minet Clients installed on PCs). Note the reason of having two controllers is for resiliency purposes.

the first question: Can I provisioned the first controller with only 70 multidevice licences and be able to register the 70 5330s plus the 70 minet softphones?

the second one: In case the first controller dies, will the softphone fail over to the sencond controller? How do we tell the UCA server that there is a second controller in case of falure?

Regards,

Daniel

1. Yes, just keep in mind that you can still only make one call at any time as per rules of multi-device
2. Not sure, sorry
