Yes, I find this sort of thing fun as well. I will have to dream up another something-for-the-weekend* soon (unless anyone else has any ideas, of course).

* By the way, I wonder if anyone (outside the UK) knows the special significance of that phrase.

Now you mention it I looked up the idiom meaning and in that sense it's not used in german, but there are other euphemisms.

Yes, I think it's a peculiarly British euphemism. I've never hear it - or anything similar - in other countries.
