Resetting Merlin Legend Password

Is there a way to reset the password from the main console of a Merlin Legend R3? We have forgotten the password and need to reconfigure the system.

Plug directly into the Merlin through the Admin port using WinSPM. That way you can bypass the original password prompt that appears if you are connecting remotely.

Then go to Print from the SysProgram menu. You can print out the System Information Report to determine the current password. Once you have that you go through the main WinSPM menu to the Password option. Enter the current password and then make up a new one.

If your main console is an MLX20, in the first port and no one has changed the default system programming port, then yes. If you do not meet the above requirements, than no, you will either need a direct connection or be transferred into the switch.

Thank you. I connected to the system through the admin port and was able to reset the password.
Now, do I need an upgrade/install card in order to change my configuration from a DID/T1 setup to a LS setup?
I am very new to this but am trying to figure it out by myself before I have to shell out some money.
