Hi I am having trouble initializing the KX-TVM50. I've tried the steps in the manuals but to no avail-it is just looping and can not be detected by the maintenance console. I would really appreciate some help asap.

Initialising the VPS with the Mode Switch
1. Disconnect the port cables from the VPS.
2. Turn the power switch off at the VPS.
3. Set the Mode Switch to position 5 (1 and 3 down, 2 and 4 up).
4. Turn the power switch back on at the VPS.
5. Connect the port cables.
6. Confirm that the RUN indicator blinks 5 times.
7. Turn the power switch off at the VPS.
8. Set the Mode Switch to position 0 (all up).
9. Turn the power switch back on at the VPS.

Ensure you have usb drivers installed.
You can check using device manager.

Thank you WhiteGooner I have tried that but its in a loop..

Thanks Otoni but unfortunately i cant get that far because the VPS is not being detected.

Precisely..it keeps looping-for as long as the RUN led blinks it attempts to connect and the driver is present in device manager then the ALARM led begins to blink and the driver disappears and the Cannot connect error comes on.I would appreciate that-what will i have to do?
